Dennis Arnold

Byron Bezdek

Byron Bezdek (known locally as “Tabby”) I Have a history in the area and the local congregations of Lake Mount Church of Christ, First Christian Church in Columbiana, and First Church of Christ in East Palestine, where I am presently an Elder. I graduated from Lincoln Christian College (1980)and Lincoln Christian Seminary (1983) Master of Divinity. I returned to the area in 1986 after leaving International Disaster Emergency Service in Kempton, Indiana. I served in the Navy Reserve Chaplain Corp from 1983 to 1994, and the Army National Guard until 2002. I have been teaching Biblical language at NEOBC since 1999. I am married to Juanita Bails of Sebring Ohio. We have three children and eight grandchildren.

Don Cooper

Donald R. Cooper, Northeast Ohio Bible College President, grew up in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia and began pursuing higher education at Atlanta Christian College in 1964, where he earned a B.A. in religious studies. Don went on to study at Emmanuel School of Religion, where he earned a MAR and the M. Div. equivalence. Don also studied Psychology and Counseling on the undergraduate and graduate levels at Radford University. Don’s unrelenting thirst for knowledge led to his completing course work at ten colleges and graduate schools. He has remained studious since 1964, taking classes to expand his knowledge in the Ministry and in the fields of Psychology and Counseling whenever possible. Don spent ten years as an associate of A.E. Guanzon, M.D., a psychiatrist who closed her practice to accept a professor position at a medical school. He invested 28 years at Bluefield College of Evangelism, professing New Testament, Psychology, and Counseling courses. He has been counseling for 35 years and frequently holds weekend seminars for family enrichment at churches and Christian camps. Don possesses a genuine love for his work and is dedicated to remaining current in his fields of study. The success of Northeast Ohio Bible College is important to Don because of his loyalty to the Lord’s Kingdom and his sincere concern for the future of His Ministry.

Len Derico

Len Derico is serving at First Christian Church in Columbiana, Ohio. Professor Derico is teaching Old Testament


Dave Detty is serving at the New Manchester Christian Church in New Manchester, West Virginia. Professor Detty is teaching Gospels.

Rex Dye

Rex Dye attended Kent State University and studied at Kentucky Christian College. He received his bachelor’s degree from Great Lakes Bible College (Now Great Lakes Christian College) with emphasis in New Testament, Theology, and the Humanities. Professor Dye received a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Lincoln Christian Seminary. He began preaching in the early 1960’s. He served a nine-year tent-maker ministry with Blachleyville Church of Christ, Wooster, Ohio, while also working in industrial management. In later years Professor Dye served numerous short term and supply ministries in Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois, and continues to supply preach today. Many of his ministries worked with very troubled churches. Professor Dye served for a time as Vice-President for Development and Public Relations with Great Lakes Christian College, along with doing some limited teaching. He has served as a professor with Northeast Ohio Bible College from its inception until the present. Dye attends and teaches at the Ripley Church of Christ, Big Prairie, Ohio, where he and his wife Diane are members. Rex and Diane own and have operated Christian Homestead Bookstore and Homeschool Resource Center, Shreve, Ohio, for the past ten years. He is father of five and grandfather of fifteen.

Mike Hazelton

Mike Hazelton is ministering at Greensburg Church of Christ in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and professor Hazelton is teaching Homiletics and History

Tom Hess
Tom Hess is serving at New Cumberland Christian Church, in New Cumberland, West Virginia. Professor Hess is teaching Christian Doctrine, History, and he is Academic Dean of NEOBC.

Roy Seoux

Roy Seoux is ministering at Lakemont Church of Christ in New Waterford, Ohio, and professor Seaux is teaching Practical Ministries and Corinthians.

Joe Thomas

Joe Thomas is married with two children. He serves as the senior minister of the Fredericktown Christian church on State Route 170, north of Calcutta, OH. Prof. Thomas has his BA from Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary. He is completing his Master’s thesis at Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary. His research has been in Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Austria and in the good old U.S.A. He is a U.S. Army veteran who served as a tracked vehicle mechanic in the 3rd Armored Division in what was then W. Germany (1985-88). He is also a Gulf War veteran who served during operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait (1990-91) as both a mechanic and a truck driver. He is on staff with the Abila Archaeological Excavation in northern Jordan where he has dug since 1990. Professor Thomas would enjoy taking any volunteers who would like to accompany him to this biblical land full of history and culture. He has held executive positions with International Paper within the retail sales division in both Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. Prof. Thomas has been teaching at NEOBC since Spring 2003 to the present as both professor of history and theology. He has held four preaching ministries during his student and professional years in Burgettstown, PA, Cincinnati, Newark, and East Liverpool, OH. NEOBC is part of his ministry now: teaching preachers, teachers, missionaries and others.
